Globalisation: state or process?
In this reading, the author looks at the topic not as a state but rather as a process that will likely not end soon.
1. Introduction
Numerous works and studies have explored the topic of globalisation. Multiple aspects have been described and plenty of theories examined. However, there is enough room for speculation. In this reading, the author looks at the topic not as a state but rather as a process that will likely not end soon.
The paper’s focus is to examine the goal of the globalisation process, namely the consolidation of markets, interests, goals, and people. This goal seems plausible and attainable if not lose sight of a very important criterion — duration of the conjunction on which the impact of globalisation depends.
The author explores the term, the origins and methods of globalisation alongside positive and negative aspects of this process and uses the case of TSMC and the chip shortage for study (Glanzman, 2021). The reflections presented in the assessment show how globalisation affects business and politics.
